The perfect weekend getaway to Batam, Indonesia
As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
Come whatever
We will still be
♥ Friends Forever ♥

Outside a temple along the Barelang Fisabililah Bridge

At the Miniature Park
Typical Indonesia Kampong (house)
The Kampong designs vary according to the different villages & regions

We are certainly amazed by the pamelos
Check out the miniature kampongs in the background

Gold-Kart Circuit Centre
We didn’t try the gold kart
It costs S$15 for 10 minutes, we think it’s expensive

Dried Seahorse for sale

Whatever we bought, we ate on the spot

A typical street outside some random shops

Lunch at Golden Prawn 555 Seafood Kelong Restaurant
There’s fish, fried prawns, kang kong (veggie), crabs, shells or snails?, soup & fruits
It’s alright, not really our kind of palates
Which explains why the Japanese guy beside me ate only plain rice

Check this out ~ snail with the long green slime which looks like poop
And I ate it! Bleh!

Kuda Lumping Cultural Dance
The local villagers performed traditional dance
Ate burning charcoal & glass after prayers
Peeled the whole coconut with teeth
Outside the Thoa Pek Kong Chinese temple
There is this awesome food stall that sells kueh at S$1 per box
Must buy! My tour group wipe nearly wipe out all their products
This green kueh is my ultimate favorite, ate 2 BOXES in a day
Drying Keropok in the sun
I bought Keropok too
Small Alley
There’s no 5 stars hotel in Batam, best you can get is 4 stars
We recommend I Hotel (4 stars)! We love it !!!
Our suite has a living room, with separate doors to the bedroom
Two bathrooms, 1 attached balcony, with cable too
Supper at A&W ! Our childhood fastfood
Which has already extinct in Singapore
The classic root beer float, waffle, curly fries & chicken
♥ We cannot be happier !!! ♥
End of Day 1 Adventure
And there’s more to come
~Ciao~
